Spiritual healing at medical unit

Staff and students at a medical research and training centre in Cornwall are celebrating the opening of the new Spirituality Space.

The room in the Knowledge Spa at the Royal Cornwall Hospital will be available to everyone of any faith, or none, for prayer or reflection.

Plans to develop the space started about 12 months ago.

The colour schemes and material have been chosen with prayer, meditation and tranquillity in mind.

Arts In Cornwall have also commissioned three Cornish-based artists to work on site-specific pieces including a three-dimensional light installation.
