The mother-of-two was stabbed nine times
The jury in the trial of a man accused of murdering a Cornish cleaner has retired to consider its verdict.

Gary Chester-Nash, of no fixed address, is accused of murdering 59-year-old Jean Bowditch in Carbis Bay in October last year.

The 59-year-old mother-of-two was stabbed nine times.

Mr Chester-Nash,28, who pleaded not guilty at Truro Crown Court, told the jury a squatter named Angel admitted to him that he had killed Mrs Bowditch.
