Two charged with teenager murder

Two men have appeared in court charged with murdering a teenager who was attacked outside a Cornish nightclub.

Joe Knight, 19, from St Dennis, died after suffering serious head injuries in the incident outside the Barracuda nightclub in Newquay.

Andrew Bray, 26, of Bonython Road, St Columb Minor, and Thomas Dickson, 37, of Trevarthian Road, St Austell, appeared at Bodmin Magistrates' Court.

They were remanded in custody to appear at Truro Crown Court on 1 September.

Joe Knight was immediately taken to the Royal Cornwall Hospital after the incident at about 1400 BST on Tuesday but died the following day.
