The couple now have a herd of 350 rare breed pigs
A farm shop specialising in meat from West Country breeds of livestock opens in Cornwall on Saturday.

Nick and Karen Stickings moved to Tresorn Farm in Bissoe three years ago, and bought two Cornish Large Black pigs, they now have a herd of 350.

Their farm shop and cafe will specialise in hogs puddings, dry cured bacon, pork and ham and their farm-made Cornish sausages.

The couple have been able to expand their business thanks to EU funding.

Devon and Cornwall Business Link has provided £22,000 of Objective One funding since the company started three years ago and the expansion has created three new jobs.

Mrs Stickings said: "We want to bring people back to the farm to see the work that goes into rearing quality produce.

"We have visited all the farms whose produce we will be stocking in addition to our own and they all have the same passion for their produce."
