Police have released an e-fit of a man wanted for questioning after an attempted abduction of a female driver.

The 24-year-old St Austell woman was flagged down by a man in the village of Lanjeth on 12 March.

The woman was punched twice and pulled from her Vauxhall Corsa by a 6ft tall bearded man with cropped hair, a local accent and a long red jacket.

She was released when a red Metro car stopped at the scene. Police want to speak to the driver or other witnesses.
