Revamp for town's historic heart
A north Cornwall town centre is to be given a 525,000 facelift.

The Heritage Lottery Fund grant will be used to regenerate Launceston town centre over a period of four years.

The town square and 25 run-down historic buildings will be restored, as well as the commercial centre, castle approaches and northern Newport.

The Townscape Heritage Initiative grant has been welcomed by North Cornwall District Council who hope it will attract business interest to the town.
