A new exhibition is being held in Falmouth to mark the 200th anniversary of the death of Lord Nelson and the Battle of Trafalgar.
Cornwall played a central role in the event as it was the first place where news of the victory was announced.
The National Maritime Museum opened an exhibition on Monday which features etchings of Lord Nelson.
It also includes a portrait of Lieutenant Laponetiere, who brought the dispatch about the battle to Cornwall.
