Man killed in old folks home fire

One resident has died in a fire at a home for the elderly in Cornwall on Saturday afternoon.

Emergency services were called to the Cheshire Home at Long Rock in Penzance after a fire began in what is believed to be a bedsit.

The fire has been put out, all other residents of the home have been accounted for and there are no reports of injuries.

All three emergency services were called to the scene.
