Lord Mayor backs Cornish produce

The new Lord Mayor of London says he is going to make it his mission to promote Cornish produce during his year-long term in office.

David Brewer, whose family came from Cornwall and who has a home on the north coast, takes up his new appointment this weekend.

He has already arranged for Cornish food to be served at the Lord Mayor's banquet next week.

He also intends to use Cornish food and flowers at all Mansion House functions.
