Stone masons say they are half-way through a huge refurbishment of stone work on the outside of Truro Cathedral.
Restoration work on the structure began in October last year. Since then, the building has been covered in scaffolding.
The Western towers, spires and front of the Cathedral at High Cross have been deteriorating in recent years.
The exposed mouldings and dressings are made of soft Bath Stone which easily erodes in the county's salt-laden air.
The complete restoration is expected to cost more than £3m.
