A kite-surfer has been airlifted to hospital after an accident on a beach in west Cornwall.
The man, who is 26 and from Redruth, is believed to have suffered head injuries after he landed on his face on the beach at Gwithian.
It is understood the man suffered a severe concussion.
The Cornwall Air Ambulance and the Portreath cliff rescue team were sent to the beach after a member of the public called 999.
