Site visit for Stein hotel plan
An application by TV chef Rick Stein to build an annexe to his hotel in Padstow comes under scrutiny on Thursday.

North Cornwall councillors are holding a site meeting on the land at Mill Road where Mr Stein wants to demolish a house near St Petroc's Hotel.

The part single, part two-storey annexe will include four holiday suites, two of which will be for disabled visitors.

Some local people have objected to the plan saying it would increase the town's parking problems.

At a meeting last month North Cornwall planners deferred a decision until a site meeting had been held.
