The new park in Helston should be open by next Spring
Skateboarding enthusiasts are being invited to help design a new skate park in Cornwall.

It is part of the local council's plan to improve the area around Coronation Park in Helston.

Kerrier District Council is using 600,000 of government funding awarded to help improve parks and open spaces.

It has set up a workshop on Wednesday for cyclists and skateboarders to share ideas about its look and what free facilities should be available.

It is hoped the new park will be open by Spring 2006.

The meeting is being held at Helston's Penrose Community Centre at 1400 BST.
