Falmouth lines up cruiser revamp
Falmouth Docks
The
Staff at Falmouth docks are about to start work on a multi-million pound contract to refit a cruise ship.

The Noordam, currently anchored in Falmouth Bay, will be refitted over the next four months before being renamed Thomson Celebration.

The refit will see the ship fitted out with four restaurants, a pub and more public areas.

But it is thought much of the interior work will be carried out by companies from outside Falmouth docks.

Yard work will include painting, dry docking and general refit tasks, but the start of any repairs is being delayed by a shortage of a deep water berths.
