Lollipop patrols to be protected
Motorists who fail to stop for lollipop men and women outside Cornish schools are to be targeted in a new campaign.

Road safety officials in the county say the campaign is necessary because of an increase in threatening behaviour and dangerous driving.

In September, a man from Camborne was sent to a young offenders' institution for assaulting a lollipop person.

Officers say some drivers do not stop while others drive around lollipop men and women standing in the road.

Motorists who break the law will be reported to Devon and Cornwall Police.
