A boat designed in the Isles of Scilly is being used to monitor fish stocks in the River Thames.
The Powercat 522 catamaran has just been bought by the Environment Agency in London.
The Agency is already using the Powercat 522 Catamaran in its Anglia and Wales regions.
It was created by Barry Philpott, and has been built at GRPro, formerly Gendall Rainford Products, in Redruth, and fitted out at the Bryher Boatyard.
The vessel for the Agency in London will have hydro-acoustic survey equipment specially fitted to it so fish levels can be monitored in the Thames.
The craft will be featured at the Southampton Boat Show in September.
