Funeral for double murder victims
Carole and Graham Fisher
Mourners were asked for donations to a cat rescue centre
The funeral of murdered Wadebridge couple Carole and Graham Fisher has taken place in Cornwall.

The ceremony on Thursday started with a procession from the Perch garage on the A39 where the couple were killed nine months ago on bonfire night.

A private family service was then held at St Issey Parish Church.

Brothers Lee Firkins, 29, and Robert Firkins, 31, of Weston-super-Mare, Somerset, are due to appear in court on 15 October charged with their murders.

Charity request

A group of people were at the Perch garage to pay their respects, including officers from Devon and Cornwall Police who investigated the murders.

Flowers spelt out the names 'Graham and Carole' and mourners at the service were asked by the Fisher's family to make a donation to the Castle Goff Cat Rescue Centre at Lanteglos, near Camleford.

The bodies of Mr and Mrs Fisher will be interred at St Issey cemetery.

Mr Fisher, 60, and his 53-year-old wife were found dead from gunshot wounds at their bungalow.

Their home was next to the Perch petrol station and garage they owned and ran on the A39.

Lee and Robert Firkins, of Exford Close, Weston-super-Mare, are accused of killing Graham and Carol Fisher on 5 November 2003.
