Radon gas warning campaign
Radon gas information leaflet
Radon is a colourless and odourless gas
People living in Cornwall are being encouraged to have their homes tested for radon.

Kerrier District Council is running a campaign to raise awareness of the potentially harmful gas.

Radon is a colourless and odourless gas which exists naturally across the UK, but is found in much heavier concentrations in Cornwall.

In high concentrations and with long exposure it can be a cause of lung cancer.

Now Kerrier District Council and the National Radiological Protection Board is running a campaign to raise awareness.

And one estate agent in west Cornwall is offering free radon tests to anyone thinking of using them to buy a new home next year.
