Man charged over yard death

Ben Pinkham died six days after suffering burns
A Plymouth company director has appeared in court charged with the manslaughter of a city shipyard worker.

Alan James Mark, 45, of Burleigh Manor, Peverell, faces a charge of unlawful killing of Benjamin Pinkham, 21, who died at Princess Yachts International on 3 February.

Mr Mark's firm, Nationwide Heating Services of Pennycross, faces a charge of corporate manslaughter.

Both Nationwide and Princess Yachts also face charges of breaching health and safety laws.

Mr Mark was bailed to appear at Plymouth Crown Court on 4 November.

The next hearing of the case against Princess Yachts will be on 9 November.
