Bird scarer in St Neots catches fire from gas leak

A gas-powered gun used to scare birds from fields on a Cambridgeshire farm caught fire when the gas cylinders started leaking.

Fire crews from Kimbolton and St Neots were called to the farm on Green Lane in Great Staughton, St Neots.

The LPG-powered gas gun, which emits a loud explosion to scare birds, had caught fire.

The gas cylinder was found to be have leaked causing some of the gas to ignite.
