Four people are rescued from fire

Firefighters used a ladder to rescue four people and a dog who had become trapped in their home in Cambridgeshire.

Fire crews were called to the house in Cannon Street, Wisbech, in the early hours of the morning after one of the occupants telephoned for help.

The fire was put out in about 30 minutes. The fire service said they did not know how the fire had started.

No other information was immediately available.
