The classes aim to teach parents to help children through the divorce

Parents who are going through a divorce can attend classes in Cambridgeshire to learn how to help their children cope.

The four-hour workshop gives parents advice on how to help them manage the emotional impact and to stop children being caught in the middle.

Cambridge is one of seven areas in England to pilot the sessions.

Kent, London, Milton Keynes, Newcastle, Surrey and the West Midlands are all holding the workshops organised by Resolution, a family law association.

Resolution said it wanted to encourage a constructive, non-confrontational approach to family law matters.

The classes are delivered by Action for Children, Cambridge Family Mediation Service, Coram Foundation, Kent Family Mediation Service and Relate.
