Two charged following drugs raids

Two men have been charged with drug offences after a series of dawn raids in Cambridgeshire.

Armed officers arrested four people on suspicion of drugs and firearms offences on Tuesday.

A man, 26, from Great North Road, Buckden, was charged with conspiracy to produce and supply drugs and possession of a prohibited weapon.

A second man, 24, from Kings Road in Eaton Socon was charged with conspiracy to produce and supply drugs.

They are both due to appear at Huntington Magistrates' Court later.

'Detailed investigative work'

A 38-year-old woman also arrested in the raids has been released on police bail until 3 August and a 48-year-old man remains in police custody.

The arrests were made at properties in Buckden, Eaton Socon and Histon.

Previously Supt Paul Fullwood said the raids came after months of "detailed investigative work" by officers.

He said it was the culmination of work "surrounding the large scale production of class A and B drugs and firearms offences across Cambridgeshire".
