Four arrested after police raids

Four people have been arrested on suspicion of drugs and firearms offences in a series of raids by Cambridgeshire Police.

Armed officers, accompanied by the dog unit, made the arrests at properties in Buckden, Eaton Socon and Histon.

Three men, aged 24, 26 and 48, and a 38-year-old woman, are being held at Huntingdon Police Station.

Supt Paul Fullwood said the raids came after months of "detailed investigative work" by officers.

He said it was the culmination of work "surrounding the large scale production of class A and B drugs and firearms offences across Cambridgeshire".

"Today's activities involved officers from the tactical firearms unit, dog unit and central division CID, and reinforces our commitment to tackling organised crime within our local communities," he added.
