Stolen drugs could kill if taken

A powerful painkiller stolen from a Cambridgeshire home could kill anyone who overdoses, police have warned.

The Fentanyl medication is in lozenge form and is used to treat chronic pain.

Nearly 20 of the lozenges were stolen from a home in Barnwell Road in Cambridge, between Thursday night and Friday morning.

A police spokesman said: "It is a prescribed controlled drug and very powerful, and if digested by the wrong person can result in death."
