Man in hospital after stab attack

A 33-year-old man has been stabbed on the street in Peterborough.

A police spokesman said emergency services were called to Garton End Road, early on Saturday when residents reported hearing a commotion.

The man was taken to Peterborough District Hospital where his condition is reported as stable.

The spokesman said officers believe the victim was attacked by three men and they are trying to trace a silver Nissan Almera seen leaving the scene.
