Man held in hostel arson inquiry

A man has been arrested over an arson attack on a youth hostel in which three people were injured.

Firefighters were called to the YHA Cambridge Youth Hostel in Tenison Road on the evening of 6 June.

Three people were led to safety before being treated in hospital for the effects of breathing in smoke.

A 29-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life, and later released on police bail.
