Magic anniversary for old society

A magic society in Cambridge, thought to be one of the oldest in the world, is celebrating its 90th anniversary.

The Pentacle Club was originally made up of Cambridge University students interested in magic, who would pay half a crown a term in subscription.

The club listens to lecturers, visits from and to dealers as well as learning and demonstrating magic.

Celebrations will take place on 9 May at Girton College with a formal dinner, cabaret show and four guest speakers.
