Second charge over prison death

A second man has been charged over the death of an inmate in a Cambridgeshire prison, police have said.

Brian Haynes, 33, from the Huntingdon area, was found dead in his cell in Peterborough Prison last September.

Cambridgeshire Police said that Paul Dennis Jefford, 23, has been charged with manslaughter.

He will appear before magistrates in Peterborough on 29 January. Shane Farrington, 25, is also charged with manslaughter over the death.

A further five men are on police bail.
