Police name teenager hit by car

A teenage girl who died when she was struck by a car in Cambridgeshire has been named by police.

Danielle Beaver, of Lincoln Road, Deeping Gate, Peterborough, was walking along the road where she lived when the incident happened, police said.

The 14-year-old was struck by a Vauxhall Astra driven by a 21-year-old man from the Peterborough area. He was not injured.

Police have appealed for witnesses to Thursday's incident to come forward.
