Shop worker restrained in robbery

A robber tied up and threatened a shop worker in Cambridge before running off with cash from the till.

The man went into the shop in Devonshire Road and grabbed a worker around the neck telling him to get down on the floor.

He demanded cash and restrained the worker's hands before taking his wallet and £45 from the till on Monday.

Cambridgeshire police said the robber is thought to have been carrying a handgun concealed under his jacket.

He was about 6ft 1in (1.85m), in his 40s with short black hair and had a pasty complexion. He was clean shaven and spoke with a local accent.
