Woman and child killed in crash

A woman and a child have been killed in a collision in Cambridgeshire.

The accident happened when two cars collided on the A1 northbound at junction 17 for Haddon.

Police said the fatalities were in the same car but the other driver, a 59-year-old woman from London, was taken to Peterborough District Hospital.

The northbound carriageway was closed for five hours following the crash on Sunday and police have appealed for witnesses to contact officers.
