Warning over rubbish letter hoax

Cambridgeshire residents have been urged to ignore a hoax letter which claims to be from the local council.

On Friday a letter was distributed door-to door in March claiming changes would be made to rubbish collections.

Fenland District Council said it was named in the bogus letter along with a firm called Waste-rite Refuse Collection Ltd.

The council said the best place for the letter was the blue recycling bin which it would collect as normal.
