Teenager shot in leg with airgun

A teenager was shot in the leg with an airgun in Cambridgeshire.

The 15-year-old boy was walking along Stow Road in Wisbech when a red Vauxhall Corsa pulled up next to him.

He felt something hit the top of his leg and saw a gun being pulled back into the car through the passenger window, police said.

The boy, who was not injured in the attack, said there were at least three people in the car when the drive-by shooting took place on Monday night.

Pc Michelle Bax, of Cambridgeshire Police, said: "We would like to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time and remembers seeing the red Corsa and it's occupants.

"We would also like to hear from anyone who knows the people who were inside the car."

The shooting took place at about 1800 BST, police said.
