Burglar's trail of wet footprints

A teenage burglar who dived into a river in a bid to escape the police was caught after officers followed his wet footprints, a court has heard.

Nelson Koki, 18, was found shivering behind timber in a boathouse, Cambridge Crown Court was told.

He was part of a four-man gang which stole £11,000 of mobile phones from an Orange shop in Cambridge on 5 March.

Koki, of Southwark, London, who admitted burglary, was jailed for two years for his part in the raid.
