Tonnes of metal has been stolen for its scrap value
A 17-year-old youth has been cautioned for handling stolen goods following a police clampdown on metal thefts.

Four warrants were executed in Cambridgeshire police's Operation Saruman, set up to combat rising thefts of lead, copper and other metals.

Officers searched four addresses in Gonville Place in Cambridge early on Wednesday morning.

Police said the raids had been co-ordinated after the force received information from the public.
