Mother and daughter die in crash
A mother and daughter were killed as they walked with a horse when it was struck by a car in Cambridgeshire.

Pedestrians Samantha Ward, four, and her mother Stephanie, 24, died at the scene of the collision in Leverington.

The horse was killed when it was struck by a blue Peugeot 306 on the B1169 at Leverington Common, near Wisbech, on Wednesday evening.

An 18-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and bailed until 9 January, 2008.

Pc Pete Bimson said: "I would urge anyone who witnessed this collision, or saw the car or pedestrians in the moments leading up to the collision, to get in touch with us."
