Man, 38, charged with trafficking
A 38-year-old man has been charged in Cambridgeshire with people trafficking.

Peteris Kalva was arrested on Thursday 30 August at his home in Wisbech and was taken to Huntingdon police station for questioning before being charged.

Mr Kalva, of Cherry Road, Wisbech, appeared at Peterborough Magistrates' Court on Saturday 1 September and was remanded in custody until 4 September.

A police spokesman said: "This is the first time a person has been charged with trafficking in the county."
