Man's body sighted in city river
Police looking for a librarian who vanished after a dinner at a Cambridge University college are examining a body found in a river.

Daniel Bolger, 21, originally from North Shields, Tyne and Wear, has not been seen since 26 November.

A police spokesman said a man's body was seen by rowers in the River Cam at around 1500 GMT.

A group of rowers reported the body near to Jesus Lock, Cambridge, on Thursday afternoon.

Divers had just carried out a final search of the river for Daniel Bolger, who has not been seen since leaving the dinner at Magdalene College.

Detectives said Mr Bolger, who works at the university library, left behind a coat containing his wallet and house keys.

They said his mobile phone had disconnected from the network at around the time of his disappearance and there had been no attempts to access any of his bank accounts since.
