One of the foreign prisoners freed without being considered for deportation has been arrested in Cambridgeshire, the BBC has learned.
Charles Clarke said half of the wanted ex-prisoners were still free
BBC Look East home affairs correspondent Sally Chidzoy said he was traced after his name was placed on a list of 1,023 wanted former prisoners.
The exact location of the arrest has not been disclosed.
On Wednesday, Home Secretary Charles Clarke admitted about half the 1,023 foreign convicts were still at large.
