A gamekeeper has received a top award for his conservation work on an estate where wildlife is thriving.
David Peters' from Bartlow Estate on the Cambridgeshire/Essex border has created havens for wildlife between fields of crops and in woodland.
He has received a special plaque from the Country Landowners Association.
He patrols the 350-acre estate on a quad bike looking after game but also ensures areas are kept clear to attract insect life on which birds feed.
He also manages the areas before and after the sugar beet crop is harvested to encourage birdlife.
