Man facing 30 charges is bailed
A man who was awarded an MBE for his community work has appeared before magistrates charged with 30 counts of theft and fraud.

Michael Eke, 37, of Plover Drive in March, appeared before Wisbech Magistrates' Court on Tuesday.

Mr Eke's alleged offences include obtaining property by deception, theft and false accounting.

The case was adjourned until 14 February and the father-of-two was released on bail.

Mr Eke ran the March branch of the Air Training Corps and organised local events.

He was made an MBE in 2003 and in 2004 was given the honour of carrying the Olympic flame on part of its 78-day worldwide journey.
