Elderly woman mugged by two men
An 85-year-old woman has been mugged in Cambridge after being forced to the ground by her two attackers.

The mugging happened on Tuesday morning as the woman was walking along a pathway between Histon Road and the recreation ground.

She was forced to the ground by two men and initially appealed to them to help her up.

But she then realised they had stolen her emerald green handbag which contained a small amount of cash.

The men then rode off on bicycles.

She was helped up by an elderly man and then called the police.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident which happened at about 1045 BST. They are looking for two men aged between 17 and 20 with dark hair.
