Minister opens new 28m bypass
A 28m bypass to relieve congestion on one of Cambridgeshire's busiest roads was officially opened.

The bypass on the A47 in Thorney, near Peterborough, will provide an additional three miles of dual carriageway and three roundabouts.

Work on the bypass began in September 2004 and was completed three months ahead of schedule.

On Wednesday, Transport Secretary Alistair Darling opened the A47 Thorney Bypass and unveil a plaque.
