Thousands of bees have died after vandals set off a firework inside a hive in Cambridgeshire.
Rowena Guthrie and her mother Caroline, who have kept bees at a site in Caldecote for the past 18 months, described the damage as "horrendous".
Two of the hives were bombarded with bricks and a firework was set off inside another during the attack.
Cambridgeshire Police are investigating the incident and plan to use the firework as evidence.
