A bomb disposal team was called in to deal with the bomb
A two-day operation in Cambridgeshire to make safe a World War II bomb was finally completed on Sunday.

An exclusion zone was set up and 80 houses near Brookfield Farm, Oakington, were evacuated after archaeologists unearthed the unexploded device.

Bomb disposal experts from RAF Wittering spent Saturday and Sunday making the 500lb bomb safe.

The archaeologists were investigating a suspected ancient settlement when they found the bomb on Friday afternoon.
