A Battle of Britain pilot has been reunited with his Hurricane fighter at the Imperial War Museum in Duxford.
Wing Cdr Bob Foster was reunited with the plane on Thursday as Duxford gears up for its Battle of Britain anniversary air show over the weekend.
Mr Foster, 85, from East Sussex piloted the Hurricane in September and October 1940 when he was based at Croydon.
He said: "It is wonderful to see the aircraft again. I have some fond memories of my time in the pilot seat."
The plane was shipped to India in 1943 and, after being brought back to Britain by owner Peter Vacher in 2001, has been restored to flying condition.
Spitfires and Hurricanes will be on display at Duxford

Veterans will be guests of honour at the air show, recognising the 65th anniversary of the Battle of Britain on Saturday and Sunday.
They will include 50 Battle of Britain aircrew known as "The Few" and members of the Guinea Pig Club, an elite band of veterans who suffered horrific burns during World War II.
Some pilots will be travelling to the show from as far away as Canada and New Zealand.
The show will feature aircraft from Belgium and Holland and as many as possible of the remaining former Battle of Britain squadrons will be represented.
Nearly 20 Spitfires as well as almost all the airworthy Hurricanes in the UK will also be on display.
