School's use of technology is top
The use of technology in the curriculum has won a prestigious award for a school - marking it out as one of the country's most advanced in its field.

Parkside Community College in Cambridge won a Futures Vision Award from the Specialist Schools Trust.

The award, the first of its kind, is being given to just 17 primary and secondary schools.

A spokesman said technology had helped Parkside develop many interesting community projects.

The school has undergone a massive virtual expansion despite being small and unable to expand physically.

Each department in the school has its own trolleys with banks of wireless computers.
