Pc denies abducting teenage girls
A police constable has pleaded not guilty to abducting two 15-year-old girls and sexually assaulting one of them in April 2003.

Pc Dennis Beeton, 35, of Fletton, Cambs, denied three indecent assault charges and two abduction charges at Luton Crown Court on Monday.

The offences are alleged to have taken place at Tuxford, Nottinghamshire.

Pc Beeton was arrested in October last year when he was based at Thorpe Wood Station, Peterborough.

He was suspended from duty after his arrest and was remanded on bail with the conditions that he was to live at his home, he was not to contact witnesses and not to go to Tuxford.

His trial, which is due to begin on 6 December, is expected to last 10 days.
