Charges follow rural drug raids

About 300 officers took part in the raids
Police have charged 12 people with conspiracy to supply controlled drugs after a series of Fenland raids.

Cambridgeshire Police said they had executed about 30 search warrants around Wisbech, near the Norfolk border.

The eight men and four women charged were being held in custody following their arrest this week.

The 12 suspects, all from Wisbech, were due to appear before magistrates in Peterborough on Thursday.

Those charged include Barry Warden Sr, 59, Mavis Warden, 52, Richard Warden, 27, Betty Warden, 32 and Barry Warden Jr, aged 25.

Peter Ardener, 28, Grant Rider, 22, Stephanie Lack, 24, Sasha Turner, 22, Neil Cousins, 23, Gary Muller, 26, and Daniel Brown, 26, were also charged with conspiracy to supply drugs.
